About Tania Rödiger-Vorwerk

Dr. Tania Rödiger-Vorwerk is Deputy Director General at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and leads the directorate "Global Health, Resilience, Equality of Opportunity". She currently also serves as Board Member for the German Constituency to the Global Fund to fight against HIV/Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria and represents Germany in the Trust Fund Committee and in the Investor’s Group of the Global Financing Facility. She strongly engages in current initiatives to reform the global health architecture. The Pandemic Fund, GAVI and other Financing Instruments are within her responsibilities. Over the last 30 years, she has served in various leading management functions in the public and private sector. She has among others led different directorates and also supported former Federal President Dr. Köhler as Director Sherpa on the Post-2015 Agenda of the UN GS Ban Ki Moon. Before joining BMZ, she worked in the private sector where she focused particularly on change management processes, environmental law and more recently supported the management of a globally leading company in the steel industry with planning, financing, and negotiating large infrastructure projects in megacities worldwide.
